Description MB3Dx2

Just out of the rendering "kitchen"

Going in circles artistically and a bit aimlessly. However, there are exits that need to be found.

Main rendering and hard shadows calculation were not a big deal. Reflections took 16 hours instead. Had dinner last night, went to and today at noon, it was over. Not complaining, on the contrary. Sometimes you have to accept it when quality is not negotiable.

Well worth all your work on it and the long rendertime!
And don't worry about the circles, progress never comes linear. Just have fun and play

Thank you dearly Sabine!
You are right my friend. Will keep on doing this until it's not fun anymore. If this happens, will do something else...

..those exits gives us hope.
Fantastic clarity in this render. Computing time well spent, imo.
I'm a sucker for the 'clean & mean' stuff, so this is right up my alley.
Sharp edges, fluid lines, sparse colouring & great composition. And the little mystery about the exits to top it off!
What can I say?  - Wicked first class job, Thx 4 sharing!

Thank you very much my friend for the always thoughtful comment.
I struggle too with sharp edges and smooth surfaces on Escapetime formulas. Guess I got lucky coming from somewhere trying to go elsewhere. An interim step that went well.
As a musician, you well know how to maintain a tonal interest within the structure of a composition. Best if you also leave room for a little jamming! In my works AND yours, we try to entertain the eyes on several focal points. Now I understand your comparison between musical and visual composition. You are so right!

I like the contrasting shapes - trying to combine organic and strict geometric shapes too, when I find them.
Jamming can be fruitful, Breaks and the silent notes I call 'pause' are crucial, to let the listener rest before the next phrase.
There's always the danger of cluttering up stuff when we get enthusiastic.. happens all the time.
Getting awful tired now, (03.20) - Have a nice evening, friend!

Oh yes, it can end up being a brick wall. Too much of that in the early 70's...and beyond. Anyway, it was like unleashing a wild animal from the constraints of studio recordings.

Oops, have to bear in mind you are 5 hours ahead of our time.

It turned out awesome, I can see with all the complex angles why the reflections took so long.

Thanks Ken! At first sight, it seems rather simple but yes, the angles are really something.
