Description My illustration for John Shirley 's short story "Where the Market's Hottest". In case you've missed it, you can read it here, in Shaun Lawton 's spec-fic magazine: freezineoffantasyandsciencefic…
I'd explain what it's about, but the piece is very short and it's a fast read.

A John Shirley short story? I'll have to check that out

You used a lot of color, here- I like it! Everything stands out. And nice touch using different currency signs on the sleeve buttons.

I'm getting some "They Live" vibes from this, too. It also makes me want to re-read Inferno.

Some argue that money is the root of all evil. Well, there sure are plenty of examples to show that's a valid claim.

Thanks! Yes, I tried something different here. There are some more elaborately colored pieces I made recently (more elaborate, than this one), but I'm not allowed to show them just yet.

The story is a bit predictable, but I still liked it -- John is very good at creating memorable images. And yes, it's about hell and the infernal power of money.

I'll be there when you are allowed to show the new artwork

And you're right about John Shirley and imagery.
I couldn't get the novel "Wetbones" out of my head for weeks after finishing it.
