Description A catus flower which only blooms at night - only one night a year!
This photo was kinda hard to take. It was raining, so someone was holding the umbrella for me (actually not for me, for the camera) against mildly strong wind. And it was dark, pitch black, so I was holding a flashlight with my teeth, while attempting to take a nice photo. ~_~

Photo: Anillaco, La Rioja, Argentina. January-09.

Cacti flowers usually are rare nocturnal events. Guess that just makes them even more precious.

Actually, it didn't have a remarkable scent.
Since it is meant to be polinized by moths or bats (I’m not sure which one), it has to be easy located at night, hence its white color.
