Description
finally using the maximum output of my new wacom, this is the first masterpiece I made with it. Fuhh, it took 5 days to finish this one, but I'm happy with the result.
This is Varlend, the main character from my fantasy novel titled 'Felgirth'. I haven't decide this to be the final design, I might still change his face and outfit to fit the story's mood.

bgnya mantab!XD cuman tu kepala kayaknya kekecilan deh,,, kalaupun emang efek perspektif makin jauh makin kecil kok ukuran kaki yang sana hampir sama yg didepan.. jadi kesannya kepalanya kekecilan.. just my opinion maaph kalo menyinggung

You definitely have a great style and good skills in colouring and shading.
I also like the composition of this piece, and the light you used.
It seems to me a little inspired by `Saimain is that true? I do love that background though!
Anyways, as for what I would change, I think you need to work on anatomy a little, the hand is very big in comparison to the body, and even though it is closer to the "viewer" it is still aproportionally big.
Also in comparison to the rest the face is very little shadows and looks rather two dimensional which is kind of sad, because it takes the focus away from the face.

yes, I'm inspired by for the nearest tree where each single leaf is drawn in detailed. (still far from her insane quality though).
but for the rest of the background, I'm more inspired by :iconlordlandchain:
As for anatomy, yes that is my most vital weakness. As I like to draw things in detailed, I zoomed a lot when I draw. And when I'm done and zoom out, each part of the body just don't seem to fit right. (individually each body part looks just fine, but when you look at the big picture, everything is messed up)

Sadly, there is not much I can critique here... this is by far beyond my skill level to offer helpful critique!
Your artwork has improved so much over the last year. I must have looked at this for several minutes, and I still felt like I hadn't taken in all of the details. I love in particular the texturing on the tree and the interspersed grasses. Plus, that sword is just beautifully designed!

I draw this directly on the photoshop, using wacom (pen tablet). So if you ask the size... perhaps it's around A3. haha. I zoom a lot to draw the nearest tree and every single leaf there. This piece took me 5 days or more than 30 hours of work to finish

Beautiful painting! I like the character design a lot, and you did an excellent job on the background. Nice job with the perspective with his hand. The only thing I'm not so sure about is his facial features- the style doesn't seem to fit very well with the style of the rest of the painting, in my opinion. Awesome work otherwise!

Great work! The detail in the foreground trees and soil really makes it for me. I wonder if it'd really help pop the sword to have more contrast- namely darker darks.
