Phew! I finished it! ... finally ^^ (well, I wouldn't say 'finished', but it's ... more finished than when I began to paint it
)I worked really hard on this one, I'm not used to paint human (especially digitally) and I used the reference only in the beginning (baaad idea ^^) ... so I just decided it's finished now, even if it's not ^^

This turned out really well. I love the dreamy and magical quality and the mushrooms! To me, it seems as though the hair is in focus and not the face as much. Her gaze just adds more to the drawing too!

Yes, the hair is much too detailed compared too the rest of the painting. I worked really long on it because it just wouldn't look right, so it turned out like this... looking... not right. ^^
I'll try to change it and to make the hair a bit more fitting, I think that's better than to make the face more detailed, I'd probably destroy the painting with trying that.
(I hope you understand what I'm babbling, my english isn't the best...)

I hope I'll get the hair right this time! I hate painting hair... maybe I should search for a good tutorial first ^^
luckily it's a digital painting, it's harder to ruin those

The thing I like about tutorials is that you can see different ways and pick the one that fits you.
I've wanted to try digital painting. It sounds like a lot of fun!

it's just hard find the right one for this ^^.. there are many for realistic hair and many for anime hair... but none for blurry and not too detailed hair, like what I need.... I'm afraid I'll have to do it without a tutorial.
Digital painting really is a lot of fun! I wished it would be possible to save backup of traditional paintings when you're not sure if you're gonna ruin it or not

If you do it without a tutorial could you use like an airbrush technique to do hair? That would put it more out of focus and you can change the sizes to represent hair or something.
It seems like fun. It would be nice if that were possible too. A nice big undo button!

hm... yeah, I'll probably do that... I'll try to work from big to small brushes, leaving out the really small ones, that should make it look out of focus...
