Here in Hungary, there are so many cars and buses, lorrys, with automatic gearbox. I don't know, is it a hungarian invention or not. The 75% of hungarian peoples prefers the manual gearbox, me too. Automatic gearboxes is very good for long-long travelling. But i like the feel of shifting.

Indeed, Manual gearboxes are more rewarding to use, Unless you are my sister who can destroy a gearbox in one drive!

My sister has no mechanical sympathy at all!,     You hear the gears grinding before you see the car!

Just practicing, i mean. When my car was new for me, i miss some gears, horrible sound comes from the gearbox, fortunately, there was no frequent.

Had the car been left unused for a while!, Maybe it was the clutch plate sticking on the splines!
