I put this piece in my group's favorites. Why don't you join, it's automatic., submissions are accepted automatically, there are no limits.
It's #AlteredMixedCollages. I'll send a formal invite.

I haven't looked at your gallery yet, just found you thru Melanie's journal page.

Lovely ...
This appears so delicate, and fragile a beauty, it's stunning.

I will see what I can do. There is a good video on YouTube. It's not my tutorial but it's a good one.

Very pretty! I love the realistic-ness of this one.

Did you know that moths' wings are made of tiny tiny layers of cuticle that bend the light a certain way to create the most beautiful artwork of nature at the microscopic level? I just read this in a Scientific American issue, it's *amazing*.

Thank you!!

For some reason I had it in my head that they were tiny scales. Thanks!

The picture in Scientific American looks like rectangular scales. XD You're not too far off. They're just made of cuticle rather than skin, I guess.

You're very welcome!

It was a real butterfly image... then I transfered it to the illustration board and added additional colors .
Thank you much!
