Description Found a new obsession lol. I took my nephew to see the movie last week and just fell in love with it. Such a wonderful movie. I would recommend it to everyone. In true Dr. Suess mode with the wonderful colors and storytelling, the songs and characters were just completely brought to life. One character not seen in the book, the Once'ler, in my opinion -- made the movie. Such a great character voiced by the very funny Ed Helms.

After the movie, I was disappointed slightly by the only romantic story in this movie was between Ted and Audrey. I had a few ideas of my own that take place in the flashbacks that had a potential for a romance to take between Once'ler and a character grown up and perhaps a grandmother in the current Thneedville world that inspired the stories that the children knew about in the film which ultimately lead to the comeback of trees in Thneedville. I wanted to expand on that idea and came up with a story of my own. I will explain better later because I'm planning a story to go along with the fanart I have drawn but have yet to upload, so keep an eye out for those.

i (hopefully) am going to watch this movie soon!
im a '90s kid, and the good Dr. Seuss, made my young childhood complete and we watch the cartoon version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" every year!
"Horton Hears a Who" wasn't bad, but i am REALLY hoping that this makes a good weekend movie!

I friggin' loved this movie - and I agree, the Once-ler made it! He was hilarious!
I agree with you about the disappointing romance, if one can even call it that, between Ted and Audrey. I kept thinking that the Once-ler should get a love interest, and at one point, like, you know where that lady gets hit by the Thneed and suddenly everyone wants one? I kind of thought she would be it. And for a short amount of time, I thought that Ted's grandmother was that lady and that maybe, because they look so alike, that the Once-ler was secretly his grandfather - but alas, no. No to both of them! It was the only part of the movie that made me a bit annoyed! XD
