Yay! I’m not dead! :-D As you may or may not know, I’ve been crazy busy. I’m graduating college within a month and between applying to go back to work for Disney this fall and trying to not fail college, it’s just been rather hectic lately. I’m just finishing Spring Break, which was sadly 90% just catching up on all the work that needs to be done before this semester ends. Anyhoo…. I did find enough time to do this picture for y’all. I’ve been slacking a lot lately and I do apologize. It’s just I had other priorities to tend to first. Hope y’all understand and I thank you from the bottom of the my heart for being so patient with me in all my inactivity as of late. I will try and get more art out.
This image came to me when just thinking of what a tender heart Raph has toward April even before they begin a romantic relationship. I just imagine the two of them spending nights just watching tv, eating popcorn, all the usual stuff. Apri falls asleep leaning on him. While about to just fall asleep with her leaning on him not wanting to move, he gets a text from Leo about Foot activity. Needing to leave to help his brothers, he knows letting her sleep awkwardly on the couch is out of the question.
As quietly and gently as he can, he lifts her up and carries her to her bed. Holding her just above her dark blue covers, he can’t help himself and softly kisses her temple before gently laying her down and covering her with a thin sheet. He smiles at her before leaving her apartment. After hearing the soft click of her fire escape window, the telltale sign of Raph leaving her apartment, April opens her eyes and feels her cheeks flush as she brushes her fingers gingerly over where he kissed her. She can’t help the smile pulling at the corner of her mouth before she burrows herself deeper into the bed before falling back asleep with the feeling the soft tingle of his lips upon her face
