Description The Tree of Life began as two separate exploratory mixed media projects, the thing above and a piece of illustration board that I painted, and wired onto a some drift wood with coat hangers, plus a little hair mixed in to keep it organic.

The thing above originally was five separate works that I sandwiched between plywood and Plexiglass. You can see the five windows above. I've always planned to go back and polish the Plexiglass to make them visible again. Wonder what they look like now.

In the top right corner is a piece of photographic paper I doodled on with a nonphotographic blue pen, ball pionts and later added watercolor pant.

The bottom right one was a colored pencil drawing of a door going into a dwelling in the Thick. My hero Cid Flarity lived here.

The bottom center is a passage going into the Thick.

I can't remember what the the bottom left was.

The top left piece was painted on a triangular piece of plastic: male and female gas beings engaged in a 69 Yin Yang spinning vortex thing.

Also, I associated these five pieces with the Pagan cycle of birth, youth, love, old age and death.

Now it all makes perfect sense, right?
