Actually, there are. Maybe not during his time, but there are now. There are even seeing eye cats, service cats, watch cats, etc. Anything a dog can do, a cat can do too, pun not intended.

Is there a problem with police dogs? Police dogs are just doing their job. Which is, To capture and track down scents of many different things. Stolen items and Criminals. Police cats are indeed a ridiculous thing though. Because they probably would not be good hunters and track down the Criminals and actually be able to stall the Criminal long enough for the police to realize where the dog is. Cats are indeed also good at many other things. As dogs can do, They both (Cats and Dogs), Can be used in training or reading with children to relax people and give company. On the other hand there are phobias of Cats and there are phobias of Dogs. Then, The phobia of both Cats and Dogs. On another note, This is well done and I like how people share their opinions on here.
