RoD 2/3 as geno payment for Dark-Mare910  and saphiraly of Muscoda 24315  ♥ Tried something new with this, a bird perspective ;o Nice challenge for a change to draw from this perspective, I think I pulled it off well enough ^^ Hope you like it ♥

Muscoda and his wolf companion whom he had met a day ago in the forest, had made their way through Anirniit valley. The wolf had known the way from there and was leading the pair through the edge of the Taniya mountains and after that way to their final destination, Aqtuquaq forest. Muscoda knew prey there to be plentiful and he still needed to catch something in order to pass into Dominance. The wolf decided to stick with Muscoda and lead him to Aqtuquaq Forest for saying thanks for leading him out of the forest during the storm they encountered previously.

The treacherous mountain trail wasn't kind to their pawpawds and the steep climbs were starting to wear Muscoda out. The wolf seemed to be doing easier with it's longer legs and lighter coat, whereas Muscoda was small and had to work harder because of his thick and heavy barbary mane. Despite of the snow laying around the fir trees and rocks, Muscoda felt hot and worn out. He hadn't eaten for days now and it was starting to take it's toll. The wolf had stopped up ahead to wait for the toki who was still battling his way to the top of their latest climb. "Keep it up, you're doing fine." The wolf softly spoke. Muscoda knew the wolf meant well but it was a huge struggle for him and right now, he couldn't think of anything to say. The merle toki continued on struggling and climbing with his short legs until he reached the wolf. "I think it should be a few more climbs before we can descend again. After that, it should be a straight trot to Aqtuquaq forest." The wolf said and looked at Muscoda with kind eyes. The toki was thankful to have the wolf with him, but who said it was going to be easy from here on? Who knew what they still might encounter in the forest or at the foot of the mountains. Muscoda nodded though and passed the wolf, onto the next climb.

Hours passed when the pair finally made their way to the top so they could start descending again. Tired and worn out, Muscoda tried to make the decend down the mountain pass as carefully as he could. But his tired paws could almost not bear his weight anymore and the toki stepped on an unstable rock. The rock started slipping under his paws and the merle toki barked in distress. "Wolf!" The wolf looked up and started running towards the toki. Just in time, the wolf was able to grab Muscoda by his thick barbary mane and keep him from falling down the treacherous mountain pass. Once the toki regained his footing he let out a deep sigh and looked at the wolf with gratitude in his eyes. "It's a good thing you came along, wolf." The wolf grinned and nodded. "I guess we're even now." Muscoda grinned as well and slowly started walking down the trail again. "I guess we are."

Prompt:  Your tokota must find their way through a treacherous mountain pass filled with many dangerous obstacles. Depict them facing and conquering these threats, included but not limited to predators, other tokotas, natural disasters or human interference.
