lol huskys are easier to train. Shibas are too independent to listen to anyone.

Oh, so she is shiba. Aw, I wanted one too, but when I finally two years ago got permission to have a dog I found a pic about this puppy that was looking for good home.. I couldn't resist, so now I have such a handsome dog. (He is mixed breed and I call him gorgweiler

Aw^^ Like they say, the dog picks you, even through a picture^^ I originally wanted a black and tan male Shiba, I was dead set on a boy, but then I met Kohara at a dog show and she licked my face off lol she won me over the first time I saw her.
He sounds like a wonderful dog^^
I know what you mean. The Shiba has gained a lot of popularity in the US, but its still hard to find breeders that aren't puppy mills. There are only about two breeders in the state I'm in. The breeder I got her from was actually from another state.
If you do decide to get one, I recommend reading up on the breed. Shiba are very difficult to train and they're very stubborn.

Oh how I know that. We have on Irish Wolfhound too and I give you anything you want if you can make him do some tricks without having to hold some big piece of meat and still if he doesn't want to do anything, he doesn't.
