In that scene where all the gym leaders back you up against those sages, those three weren't anywhere to be seen.
One of the gym leaders was like, "Celan, Cress, Chili were unable to make it sadly. They had important business to do."

Like. They is this official picture. I saw it once but I WISH I COULD'VE SAVED IT. It had a picture of the shadowtriad putting on their masks.
Their masks resembled the three elemental monkeys :c

I liked the Shadow Triad, thought they were an original and interesting new addition to the regular game play.
