To be honest I was not able to use the brush (abr files i know how to use but not gimp)I used the JPEG pictures by inverting them and layering in a screen mode.
Thank you for the compliments!

No its'not a drawing but mainly a photomanipulation. The original picture of the (naked) model was layered with flat color and various texture layers, other elements like the gloves and boots were added from different pictures.
Decorations of the costume were done with flat colors and the pen tool, after a texture layer was added to increase realism. In brief this is how it was made.

I am happy; it means that at least by a technical point of view my work is good.
Photo manipulation is like stage magic; you cheat for the purpose of fun creating an illusory reality

Extremely well done. Some of my favorite manips to do are super heroes and the subtle redesign of the costume looks great.

Thank you! I am usually a purist for what concern super heroes costumes (I generally prefer the original costumes of the 70's above the later reinterpretations) but when you switch to the photographic medium you have to change a little as in many cases a cool costume in comic books translates in a silly costume in a photographic rendering.

I understand completely, much as I love the comics of my childhood (70's) some things dont carry over well to other media.
