They're psi-lines. They're supposed to be colored blue. The lines are similar to the psi-channels seen on the armor of Nova from StarCraft Ghost. But the lines on Alana's face are etched directly onto her skin, courtesy of the Protoss. ^_^

What happened to Starcraft Ghost anyways? First I hear it's delayed, then underway, then delayed, then put on indefinite hold, and then that they'd like to revisit it and then what?

There are rumors going around about StarCraft Ghost's main character, Nova, saying that Blizzard will return to her in a new game in the not-so near future.
