The metal is awesome. In some areas it looks cast, in others, it looks rolled, stretched, or ground. I'm big on material properties (from an engineering and manufacturing standpoint, not necessarily an artistic one, though), and the texture really struck me, it's awesome! The gem still looks a bit too smoothed out, but being able to see the individual cuts on the crystal would make it look great!
I would fave this, but I've reached my limit for faves of the same subject. Well, I'll be back!

as always your texturing is nothing short of masterful. only thing i can think of is while the gold is amazing quality, it doesn't look armour-hard, more like foil
