Angst, anger rage - those are all good words to describe the mood(s) many people have been feeling. This piece definitely expresses that.

.
I do not think the name is overused

I love the image- the buildings especially give meaning to his frustration.

I am learning linocutting/ printing. Do you use special artist's woodblocks or can one use normal wood boards- if so what kind of wood?

I will watch you- and thank you for your interest in my art.

Thanks for the comments - I appreciate it your insight. I use birch plywood for most of the woodcuts - you can buy it at most lumber yards. I cut it to size and then spray paint it black - then transfer my preliminary drawing via pencil - graphite paper etc.

I like using craft foam as well - its easy to use, cuts with an exacto-knife, and prints much like a stamp. I mount it to a smaller peice of plywood with a spray glue - cut the image - and then seal it with a coat of gesso prior to printing.

Wow thanks! I always love to know the cheaper ways to do things artsy. The foam would be good for my kids too who can't carve the lino or even the wood.

Do you spray the birch with paint so your image is easier to see? How did you learn these methods?

Thanks again ^__^

No problem on sharing...I dunno how I figured this stuff out - I like to problem solve so...I guess that was it. I also have a couple of books that I got online about printmaking - I am sure they are available in a local library.

I love the painting, but I am not so much for the name. It feels over used.

But, I mean... I really love this. When browsing through deviations, very few catch my eye. This one automatically got me. Very nice.

Thanks for the comments - I truly appreciate hearing your thoughts. Funny about the name, I am fairly new to putting a title on any of the work I do...so your thoughts on the name are extremely helpful indeed.

I like constructive criticism on my work, so I try to give it.

You have some very nice works in your gallery.
