Mind if I recolor this? Your artwork is perfect and my friends and I made pony OCs who wear gear like this and poses like this. We will credit youΒ

Good artwork but I have some nitpicks on the gear in question.
Is she playing weekend warrior with that game boy comp on her SCAR? Why is she not instead using a weapon that SOF actually likes to take on missions like the MK18, M4A1, HK416, M240, etc.? Why is she running a vertical grip yet has no illuminator or PEQ box mounted to the top rail so that a tape switch can be effectively employed? Why hasn't she ditched the OEM rail for a longer factory replacement or an SRX so that it's more comfortable to run the charging handle on the left hand side? Where is she storing spare mags, her IFAK, etc. when her plate carrier is missing pouches and she has no chest rig on? Those are just a few questions that popped up in my head when seeing the image and don't get me started on the red dot that looks like a TruGlo.
Overall I like the artwork quality but it never hurts to be careful with the details.

as for the kx3, i added it last minute as a shout-out for the loss in the Noveske family, i personally run the AAC 51T quick disconnect on my weapons. the kx3 is more suited for sbr's, but is still somewhat acceptable on carbine length, but there are a lot better muzzle devices out there for longer barrels for the weapon choice, i just felt like drawing a SCAR. You don't always need a peq-15 or tac light with a fore grip, as it is mainly there to improve stability, but an actual operator would have something along the lines of the DBAL or PEQ illuminators/flashlight. the longer rail would come in handy to get your light out there further to reduce a barrel shadow, or for greater support on carefully aimed shots. charging handle orientation is merely a preference. i've seen left and right handed shooters run it opposite from the norm, as long as they are comfortable, and train upon their first instinct. the straps on her leg are actually for a double mag pouch, and not a holster as one might think, just hard to tell as it is on her left leg (also she would have a secondary if she was a legit operator. as for any extra gear, such as a triage pack, or dump pouches, or any other pouch you can think of, i usually try to keep them geared up minimally, as i like to preserve the shape of their body. yes i can gear them up more appropriately, as i have done with my Octavia, and Applejack drawings, but prefer not to. Optic in reference is Aimpoint Comp ML3. in the end, it just boils down to what i find to be aesthetically pleasing, and keeping with the art style of the show, i try to leave things relatively basic looking, as it also helps me out with the thicker line work.
I'm glad you liked it though

Ah, I must have a low rez image on my phone because that looked like a FSC on the end of that SCAR. At least there is an aimpoint on there and not what I suspected. As far as the charging handle on a SCAR I've heard a lot of shooters say they prefer to run it like an AK with the short rail but on the left when using an extended. I'd want to use an extended if I was running a SCAR since I could get my arm out further and get a little more control over the muzzle, nothing too gamey just to help decrease time between follow up shots. Though it would be hard for me to choose a SCAR unless by some miraculous chance I got into a unit that issued me one. I'd personally grab a commercial Knight's gun in 7.62 and set it up appropriately. Basically the reason I was curious about the PEQ thing was that I didn't really know what look you were trying to give her. Based on the minimalist design I thought she was supposed to look like a SOF soldier. Although a low profile plate carrier with a set of single mag pouches would still allow for the minimalist profile, perhaps a set of Tacos mounted to a BFG PLATEminus? The more streamline you're set up the easier it is to get things done after all. Even if she wasn't and was just a contractor or grunt it would be odd to not run a light if one was available thanks to all the advantages of being able to ID and temporarily disorient, or maybe that's just how humans do and it doesn't factor in? Does seem kind of odd to use a drop leg mag pouch, I mean battle belts work pretty well but from an academic point of view a drop leg mag change seems a bit inconvenient. You might also just see if some bandages can't just be shoved into the double though I don't know offhand how well an IFAK could be stuffed into something that size, probably not wide enough. Also don't worry about my opinions too much since any personal experience I have is questionable at best.

Yeah, just don't throw on a hundred pounds of kit to sight in bargain bin ammo. Heck that stuff failed to feed in a PMAG once, I don't think I'll ever spend my money on it again. Are you using those new light weight rails? I got the chance to handle a new Noveske Thunder Ranch with the NSR and it made me wish that I had an extra $2300 dollars lying around somewhere.

mine is the spikes tactical bar rail, made of lw aluminum and kind of skeletal design. takes a good amount of weight off wich comes in handy since i use an eotech 512 with flip out magnifier combo, which isn't too light. as for ammo i usually use federal 5.56 55grain, but have also found an exceptional Swedish import ammo called GECO, manufactured for competition shooting. i will never use Wolf, tracer, or any steel case ammo

I tried Herters once and I realized why it was so cheap. However I've seen most brass import ammo run pretty well and it comes in at a decent price too though I've yet to try out the Independence I bought. I haven't quite gotten into lightweight rails since I don't want to play armorer and try to swap out barrel nuts when I probably don't have the tools for the job. I do like the uppers I bought with lightweight rails especially when it has a lightweight barrel as the accuracy doesn't seem to decrease that much on a carbine. The only thing I don't like about the lightweight design is that they seem to heat up faster than a quad rail.

i have had no problem with heat exchanging in my rail. also if you've never replaced a barrel nut, just make absolute certain, if you ever do, get the right tools. it will save you a lot of headache and discontent, even if you only plan on using them once.
