Well, I sat down with my tablet and told myself: "I'm gonna draw something awesome. Something NOT Chatot related." Well, guess what? >:IWhy do I like this guy so much? Seriously. I give him waaaaaaay more love than any NPC character in a Pokemon spinoff has ANY right to have. At least when people make fanart of Grovyle and Dusknoir, it kinda makes sense because they're awesome. BUT FREAKING CHATOT? WHY? D8
Anyway, I'm gonna ramble now. Feel free to tune me out. You guys know how I love to talk.
I've grown really attached to my design for Chatot, so I decided to draw a few different poses and expressions, to practice for when I eventually start working on my comic again. Because no matter what I say, Chatot is gonna play a bigger part in it than he really should. Sorry.
Then, I drew him in pajamas. Yes, that is a Perfect Apple nightcap. And those are definately Wigglytuff slippers. I have a thing for drawing characters in pajamas. I've drawn Meta Knight in them multiple times. I think it's hilarious.
And then I wanted to draw some cute spoilery pictures. 8D
So... You know how you got really PO'd every time Chatot would nag you about getting that Phione Dew to cure Manaphy? Well, I hope this picture makes you feel bad about it. You and your partner weren't the only ones that loved Manaphy. <3
Next is Chatot examining his wounds after his Brine Cave conquest, contemplating the reasons for his actions. I WONDER WHY? 8D
THEN A SUPER SPOILER PICTURE. I'm not gonna really explain it, but I will say that I got the idea from Redwall. If you've ever read it, you may understand a little bit. Or not. It was kind of a minute detail in the book that I thought was freaking adorable.
And the last one... I really don't know what's going on. My guess is that he's going through his mid-life crisis and Morgan happened to be there when it struck. Or it's a love confession. IT CAN GO EITHER WAY. 8D
So. Um. Enjoy. I'm off to make fun of his voice in the Mystery Dungeon special, now. HE SOUNDS LIKE SOMEBODY, BUT I CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON IT.

I actually did get to hating Chatot. A lot. Then... After Brine Cave and Manaphy, things went upward. (Oh, and in EotS he gave me a Platinum Ticket for a Wonder Gift thingy I sent him... <3 That was the winning ticket for the lottery, so I got to see Ludicolo dance~!)

Oh man, Chatot kinda saved my life on Primal Dialga. Brine was the move that killed Dialga, which I wouldn't have had Freeuo (my partner)learn if it weren't for Chatot~

I'm... eh, Chatot. I think that sprite where his tail ticks back and forth is damn cute and his little nerdy 'right hand Pokemon thing' makes up for a lot of his mannerisms. But man that Perfect Apple thing is so hard to forgive xD; [of course it'd be nice if the characters STOOD up for themselves D: ]. And of course Brine Cave was very awesome of him, though I haven't gotten to that point in ages.
But sometimes I sure don't understand him (like.. that part when everyone but Chatot believes you about the time travel-Dusknoir is evil! thing..it leaves me confuzzled xD) but I guess that just makes him a silly character.
You sure as hell made me like him a lot more than I did when I first played the game, and I really look forward to seeing your PMD things :3

Yeah, Chatot is a pretty weird character. But I have a soft spot for paranoid know-it-alls. And I love how he just lapses into hysterical laughter when he's obviously scared out of his mind. XD

Haha I just bothered me how we never saw his temper burst [even though it was hinted at plenty of times] so it was weird to me that everyone was SO SCARED OHNO. 'Cause I mean, he was in general an /amazingly/ nice character so...? xD; I dunno, I feel like someone so high rank should have been less... cuckoo

His hysterical laughter is my favorite thing about him, I think. It suggests that he is at least slightly mentally unstable. I kept waiting for him to snap. XD
