My entry in the October 2020 Character Design Challenge, the theme of which is Yokai & Kami.
The okuri inu (or okuri okami) is a ferocious dog or wolf-like yokai. It follows night travelers through the forest, waiting for them to trip and fall so it can devour them. This yokai is also considered good by some, as its ferocity staves away any and all creatures in the surrounding area, thus protecting the traveler.
