Description Didn't it ever strike you that there's barely any fan art of the good old game Titus the Fox, by Titus Interactive? Well here's possibly the first CiD pic ever, that shows the main hero Titus and his love Foxy. This is an art trade with and is tied to this story. (heh, "tied")
And I must apologize to detailists that there are alot of white spots in the picture. I would have colored it better if my MS 'Pain't wasn't a pain in the a**

EDIT: After some debate with K-M-123, here is a barepawed version of Titus. The version with shoes will be in my scrapbook ^^

Titus the Fox - Botched rescue attempt

Titus was tired... but happy.
After many days of traveling and evading various brutes, crazy bikers, hobos, rabid dogs (and cats) and even several mummies, he was here, in Marrakesh. Right before the palace of Sultan Rabys, the one who abducted his vixen, Foxy.

For now, the young fox needed to get inside and find Foxy. The guards at the gate seemed too vigil to get by directly, but the garden at the back...

Titus made his way around the palace and, to his luck, there was a pile of cardboard boxes sitting against the wall. "Bingo!" the fox smiled and after a few leaps found himself in gardens. There were tall hedges and shrubberies everywhere and guards... with dogs!

"Ack! Why does it always have to be dogs? This sultan's paranoid..." Titus muttered as he started running by the wall, hiding behind a hedge occasionally.

Soon, he was inside. To his credit, there wasn't as many guards inside, but finding Foxy was another thing. "She has to be upstairs. Hang on, Foxy!"

---

After almost thirty minutes, Titus was tired again. The palace seemed much smaller on the outside. And the guards must have gotten suspicious, because their numbers have greatly increased.

Luckily, he had only a couple rooms left to search. He went for the closest one and slipped in, quietly as possible. There were a lot of silk curtains and a decorative dresser. Could it be...?

"Foxy?" Titus called gently, his white paws slapping against the marble floor as he went towards the large bed covered with more curtains. Someone was definitely sleeping in it.

"Foxy, is that you sweety?" the young fox pulled one of the curtains away and peeked at the sleeping figure. It wasn't Foxy, it was some cobra girl. And worse (for Titus), her outfit barely concealed any part of her body.

The poor fox blushed in embarrassment and begun to tiptoe away, but unfortunately the cobra must have been a very light sleeper. Her eyes shot open and she screamed, upon noticing the lad.

"Eeeeek! Who are you? Guards!" she wailed, throwing a pillow at Titus. "Whoa, calm down!" the fox ran out of the room, still blushing. Now there was only one room left, but there was a commotion downstairs.

"It's now or never..." Titus gritted his teeth and ran into the last room. It was much more sporadic than the previous one, but there, on the bed...

"Titus!" there was a vixen sitting on the bed. She was wearing a dark blue robe and shoes, but the face was the same as ever, staring at the boy with wide eyes.
"FOXY!" he ran to his beloved and they shared long hug. "You have no idea what I've gone through to find you, love." he whispered, nuzzling the vixen on the neck.
"I thought I'd never see you again, love." Foxy replied, her eyes teary.
Then they heard the guards out in the hall.

"C'mon Foxy, we need to get outta here." Titus grabbed the vixen's hand and they headed outside... right into a patrol.

"There he is! Get him!" barked the officer, but the couple ran back inside. "We need to find another way..." Titus thought and pulled Foxy to the balcony.
"T-Titus, what are you...?!" Foxy stuttered as Titus picked her up and jumped over the railing. Fortunately, there was a shrubbery under the balcony so the landing was soft.

"Titus... don't do that again!" the vixen glared at her boyfriend momentarily, but they already got up and set off for the part of the wall that Titus first used to enter the garden. They were almost there when over half a dozen guards blocked their path.

"Oh no!" Foxy cried out and they tried to turn back, but there were more guards behind them.
"You must be kidding!" Titus' tail wagged in frustration as the guards approach them with ropes.

"Titus..." Foxy sobbed as their hand were pulled behind their backs and bound together tightly. "Unhand her you-mmmph! Gmmph!" the fox boy groaned as a cloth was tied over his mouth, followed by more ropes around his chest and shackles on his and Foxy's paws.

"Now take them to the dungeon. The sultan will render judgement after his beauty sleep." said the officer from earlier as the couple were dragged back into the palace and down the stairs.

They were brought down into the dungeon and dumped into the nearest unoccupied cell, then locked in and left alone.
"Hmrph, Fhhxshy." Titus groaned as he looked at Foxy, flexing his fingers. "Thmmtshh..." the vixen moaned as she shifted towards her boyfriend. They may have been captured, but at least they were together...

"Mrrhhmmph!" Foxy suddenly yelped as something thin and sharp collided with her hand while stroking Titus' tail. "Mmmph?" Titus looked over his shoulder and it hit him.

"Of course, my knife! I hid it in my tail for situations like this. How can I be so dumb?" he mentally chastised himself and carefully reached for the knife buried in his tail fur.

All wasn't lost yet...

Yeah, the coloring was a bit annoying, but I managed it ^^
K-M-123 though drew the pic itself.

Actually, it was drawn by as a part of an art trade. But I colored it ^^
Though I could've done a better job if it weren't for MS Paint -_-

Oh, really? Oops, sorry, my mistake.

But, hey, good job coloring it. I know how difficult it can be to color using MS Paint.

No problem
And thanks I'd probably color it even better if the infamous 'displaced cursor' didn't happen again...
