Part 2 of my finished commission for the lovely

This image taught me so very much as an artist. I was forced to face many of my shortcomings and fight through my fears, as well as acknowledge some of my strengths and even revel in some stray successes.
Working with these characters wrought a gradual devotion within me-not only capture them, but come to know them as individuals, and as a family. A large portion of this interest was derived from the adorable Tillver.

Tillver, is the tan female in the left center. Right from the start, I knew I liked her, as I could feel she held a special kinship with her artist. When I discovered Kamouren was her lover (pale-skined male in the right center) and Astorah (far left) and Catioxara (far right) were her children, it further solidified my love of her. While I have no qualms with the classic tale of unrequited lovers, or orphan children that overcome all adversity to save the world~I have a genuine love for families. Especially ones as carefully crafted as this.
I get the feeling, that despite all they have been through, both to tear them apart, and bring them together, they all function well as both individuals, and as a singular family. Their bios contain beautiful details such as who they look up to, who they contend with, and who they most essentially are.
Again, Vampyra's characters were an absolute joy to work with.

I also loved working on their weapons, largely due to their sleek designs, and clear dimensions. I find the intricacy of Astorahs staff, and the scale of Catioxara bow to be absolutely mesmerizing. As for their pets, I simply HAD to include them as a subtle thank you to Vampyra for again, both her patience and confidence in me.

If I had one thing I wish I could expand upon it would be my ineptitude with scenery. While I intentionally left it simple to draw the eyes towards the figures, I non-the-less want to deliver only the very best to my patrons. Backgrounds will become a central focus of study from here on.
