Description Michel covered her mouth to smother a laugh as she watched the scene before her. Wesley, the cause of her mirth, shot her a glare before turning back to the problem at hand.
For the past hour and a half Wesley had tried to coax Ferox into one of the small outdoor dirt arenas. Now that the stallion was finally in, and the gate shut, it was a matter of getting near him and getting the halter on.
"Maybe you should give up for today?" She suggested, which only earned her a grunt as a reply. "You're determined, I'll give you that." With that she walked back to the stables to continue work, leaving Wesley to it.
After another 30 minutes of patience, and just a pinch of stubbornness, Wesley managed to slip the halter into place and had to contain a shout of joy. His success was short lived however for Ferox, upon realizing what had happened, began throwing a tantrum, rearing and bucking.
"Looks like he still needs some work," a voice said from behind Wes in a brief moment of 'calm' from the still wild Bashki.
"You're telling me." Wesley grumbled.

Poor Wesley, training Bashki is no easy task!

Oh man, this brings back memories of my horse when we weaned him at 4 months, he was pratically a wild colt and we had to halter train him before we could take him home. First time he was roped he cleared a 6 foot fence to escape. Spent the next 3 days just trying to catch/ get him to walk on a lead with him rearing at us just like in this pic
Amazing job by the way! Picture fits really well with the story! I would know
