It seems whoever made the MR2000 designed the programming to fail and go deviant while CyberLife was first creating Androids. They were originally made to be older siblings to a preexisting child for families, most prototype models looking like average 17-18 year-old teens to 20-year-old young adults. They were going to simulate real emotions, provide support for their young 'sibling', and like one would expect act like a caring teen, maybe even get up to some typical teenager antics. However, the first android named “Megan” assembled from the concepts went deviant shortly after being put in a test family and went missing after running away. CyberLife halted the assembly of any and all MR2000 after that because of how quickly “Megan” went deviant.
Megan has not been caught nor has anyone ever seen her since she went missing. At least, in the city where she was put in the family for testing. Megan made the long trek from the city she was in to Detroit, removing her LED at some point during the long journey. Megan decided to disguise herself as a human upon entering the city and, after observing people for months, became more human like in every respect to the point where she can fool just about anyone. When people ask about her age, she says she's eighteen or nineteen, as she lies that she can't remember her birthday.
Megan is a kind android, a small hold over from her original programming, and does her best to be kind to those she meets. Around her friends she's playfully and deadpannly sarcastic, not really knowing how to make jokes but she tries. She does have problems with how people see androids as nothing more than playtoys as well as her own history of being an android, but she hides this very well, not wanting people to see what she considers her “ugly” side. She partially hates the fact she's an android because of how they're viewed, but is also thankful because she won't have to deal with some of the things humans do. She has a early prototype of the program Connor has to analyze crime scenes and detect danger, but it's largely buggy despite it's usefulness.
She works in the School Protection department of the Detroit police but is transferred to the CSI Homicide department and tasked with helping with the android cases in the beginning of the game, being partnered with Connor and Hank due to her observation 'skill'.
She becomes the fourth protagonist in the events of the game in this universe, exploring how an android would adapt to pretending to be human and try to keep their true status a secret from everyone, including a highly advanced android made to find deviants.
Depending on how the player would, if she were in the game, have her act, she could be found out as a deviant early on or not until she is to be revealed at one point deep in the story.
She has around five relationship stats with five characters, Connor and Hank are two naturally, but the others are her fellow android-in-disguise friends, Madoka Kaname, Venoct Pensive and Noctis Caelum. These relationship stats have a huge impact on what happens with her and what ending for her storyline one would get.
Unlike with the rest of those she has relationship stats with, she has a couple unique titles for Connor which can be gained depending on how she reacts to what Connor says or does, one being “crush” and the other being “lover”. The latter can only be obtained in variations of the good endings/paths where Connor goes deviant. These titles can also be gained on Connor's side for her, though until he goes deviant the first will show up extremely glitchy and hard to read.
Her storyline closely follows Connor's, being able to take control of her at certain points in Connor's chapters, but she has several unique chapters of her own that explore how she copes with hiding her true self. This brings back the “Thoughts” mechanic from Heavy Rain, as players could periodically check her thoughts to see what she's thinking at certain points in her chapters.
These chapters take place mostly when she's gotten home from working with Connor and Hank and reflecting on the days events while interacting with her friends, though several take place while she's filing late night reports at the precint, which allows her to talk with Connor who stays back because she's there and build her relationship with him.
Connor also gains relationship stats with her friends which also determine what ending she'll get.
That's all I'm going to add for now, I have more worked up, but I don't want to spoil the story I'm writing that has the good path of her storyline. And no I do not care that I made her in a dollmaker, I use what tools I have and that's that. I'll draw her at a later date when I'm not writing her story.
