Description
Pixie of the X-Men. I personally hate how they're ruining the character by making her a deus ex machina, but I used to enjoy reading her minor cameos earlier during the Academy X days. This is a combination of modern Pixie and original Pixie. As she frequents clubs these days, thought I'd whip up something that showcased this attribute.The background was an issue. Originally, I had all the "clubgoers" detailed, but that reduced Pixie's significance so I eventually settled for sihouettes.

I disagree to an extent-- I'm happy that she's being used more prominently and I don't mind that her powers are expanding (after all, she's only going to get stronger and more experienced when she's on the main roster), but I think the writers need to use her more often than just to have someone to teleport or be upset over Limbo.
I absolutely adore your lighting! It's so vibrant and really blends well with her personality.

I wouldn't mind her, really, if Fraction wasn't the one writing her mostly. I like how the other writers in Second Coming have given her more of a unique, likable feel than when Fraction writes her. She was effectively original Magik v.2 with the powerset and all. I quite liked Pixie strikes back (though I must admit I only picked it up for Psylocke). Hmm, maybe under a different writer I'll properly start liking her.

Yost certainly wrote her well. I just think Fraction doesn't really know what he wants to do with her. At first, he seemed to have a good idea, but just dropped it.

Amazing work, I totally agree pixie used to be such a cute side character but now... it seems they're just taking advantage of her cuteness by giving her "awesome powers" and even giving her a mini series when many other new x-men would have been a better choice...
Besides that I love the mood you captured and her expression fits her perfectly.
