Your work is absolutely fascinating. I love how you can take these abstract ideas and concepts, and fashion them into a dream that pulls my best thoughts forward. This piece, for example, is so thought provoking. Maybe it's because you paid such attention to detail. The most provoking, for me, would be the emotions I feel looking at the man in his boat, passing this behemoth mystery by. I wonder what emotions or thoughts he would have, if they would reflect the ones I'd imagine myself to have, or if by this time man was as hollow as the statue. It was an interesting contemplation, to say the least!
Considering this is mixed media, I think you did very well! I loved how the mist connected the different aspects together, and the addition of snow and frost on the statue set it in place perfectly. I'm afraid I'm not very talented in this type of art, so I can't offer critique or anything. I can, however, express how much I enjoyed this piece, and how it really set my mind off on paths related to compassion, apathy, and humanity as a whole. It also gave great fodder to my thoughts on man's growing inability to connect or care for nature, in favor of more convenient, trending things such as technology.
