Description This was the first major sculpting I ever did on a pony...and it turned out quite pleasant! I often regret selling this one, but I really needed the money and I know she went to a good home :3 Inspired by another obsession of mine, Alice In Wonderland

painted with acrylics and rehaired with Ruby Slippers saran from Restoredoll. Sculpted with super Sculpey

i think the stocking give the pirate feel...someone else mentioned that to me....i just didnt want her to have plain legs. its fun once you get into it...and unless you want to use the nice stuff its not really expensive. a ponys $1-5 bucks depending on where you get em and then hair you can find at the dollar tree. the paints i use are 44 cents at Walmart and the sculpting stuff on this one way sculpey which is like another $5-10 and lasts you for a looong time ^_~

yeah, i was about to say it's those red and white striped leggings...I think it would have to have more brown instead of red in the "shirt" to look totally piratey

wow, i didnt know they were that cheap! i did see somewhere that someone said they try to find slightly damaged ponies for cheaper. what brand of paint do you use? that sculpey is good, but expensive, stuff lol

i use Apple Barrel..its sooo cheap. and ive never had any problems quality wise. i get smoother paint jobs than most other people i see so.....yea. cheap is good. yea if you sniff around pony boards you can get ponies with marks or symbol smudges for like $1 sometimes.but theyre still only $5 new and then theres always thrift stores etc

Oh cool, I went last night and bought some of that Apple Barell paint, but was wondering about the quality. I'm glad it'll be ok. I bet I could get some cheap ponies on Ebay too, hehe
