Description And for the moment you all have been waiting for!

Meet Twili the Loftwing! This guy measures 28 in from the tip of the beak to the butt (not counting the tail) and a whopping 48 in wing span!

Made like all my other plush with Minky and love so he's ultra sweet to snuggle with! :3
This particular loft wing is done in black, white, lime and lavender. Why? Because this one is Twilight Princess inspired Over the next few weeks I will be hand sewing on the tattoo work like you see on Twili in the game. He will be surly one of a kind, and personal.

This guy made his debut at Anime Conji this past weekend, and after much debate I have decided to open up for preorders so you can get your very own!
The cost? $260 when finished. OUCH! I know, but there is a LOT of detail in this guy. Each feather in the wing is singular, each tail feather and every tuft on the cheeks and head! Also, the wings are embroiders with feather patterns to keep them flat and awesome looking! He's also large, and I like to call them Loftwinglets

Loftwings are now available in my shop!

How do I go about ordering a custom coloring of a loftwing? Do I send you a colour scheme or something like that?

Thank you! I try hard!

If I can manage to sit down and focus, it's about 2-3 days X_X But the end result is awesome and quite fun! I'm working on Link's Loftwing right now, there will be pictures

Is the pattern yours? Or did you use someone else's?

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Shalie In reply to XoxOtiggerOxoX [2013-01-08 03:22:14 +0000 UTC]

Pattern is all mine! Spent about a whole painful week making it perfect
I make all my patterns from scratch from my own free drawn sketches, I've never used anyone else's, and if I did I would make sure to state as such

XoxOtiggerOxoX In reply to Shalie [2013-01-08 20:48:43 +0000 UTC]

cool! I try to do that but I just cant make them how I want. would you consider sharing the pattern with me? If you don't want to, I totally understand. your loftwing is one of the best I have seen!

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Shalie In reply to XoxOtiggerOxoX [2013-01-08 23:50:55 +0000 UTC]

Making a pattern is really hard, but keep at it! I always cut my fabric pieces about an inch bigger then where I have my stitch lines just in case I need to make things larger in some areas.

I would love to share my patterns, but right now I don't have a easy way to do that, also because this is my full time job, I'm quite reserved about sharing at this point in time :T But thank you so much for the compliment, I try really hard ^.^

and it pays off! do you have any tips on drawing loftwing patterns that you could share?

I must ask:

How do you do the eyes like that? I would appreciate an answer. ^w^

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Shalie In reply to Treetail [2012-07-07 18:18:04 +0000 UTC]

I don't know when, but it's looking like I should make a tut on how I make my plushy's eyes Basically I use satin, medium weight double sided iron on backing, tear away stabilizer, an iron and my sewing machine.
I cut out and layer up the satin pieces, iron them all together so they don't shift and fray, and then on my machine I hand guide them around with the stabilizer, using a tight zigzag stitch between 2.5-3.5 wide in matching color threads to achieve the look and lock down all edges. I then iron on another layer of the iron-on backing to seal all the threads and make the eyes into iron-on patches(but I never iron them on, I just sew them on when done stuffing.)

This guy was so much better in person. So much detail. He was so soft too. I was very happy to see you guys at AM2.
I saw a guy later on walking around with him. Did he buy him? I was quite jealous. ^__^

Shalie In reply to ChibiWorks [2012-07-07 18:21:19 +0000 UTC]

That would have been my BF you saw with Twili, I was not to far away with the Vaporeon as we walked around looking at stuff. I like to take my plushies with me when walking the alley just to show off, and let the other artists get a chance to see something new and fun, passing them over so they too can get the free hugs; cause we are just chained to our tables the whole weekend, even when we do have a helper to watch.

Hope to see you again at the next AM2!

I'm just wondering where you get the patterns for a loftwing or do you just come up with your own?

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Shalie In reply to baladamay [2012-05-29 17:04:42 +0000 UTC]

I call myself a plush designer with good reason. All plush I make are my own from scratch patterns that I put a lot of work and time into perfecting for my own use.

This is amazing! You did such an incredible job with all the details while making it look accurate and amazingly cute! I'd love to order one, but we're so poor. I could only do a commission trade if anything. Though I like this guy better than the F4F Zelda statues by a long shot, and I think he's a better deal! Maybe one day if life is kinder.

Awww, he's so cute.....and big....and snuggly.....looks like he'd pretty much take up half the bed.....which, if a little kid was scared of the dark and had a bit Loftwing to 'protect' him or her at night, might be comforting

When I was browsing, I couldn't see the thumbnail because my connection was lagging. I was hoping that it would be a decent plush.

When I clicked through I was blown away!! This is incredible work, and I hope you'll still be able to make them when I've got at least the first $60 saved up!!

ALL THE LIKES!!
