print out the reference pic. draw a grid on it then refer to that one. usually once i get the proportion right i dont use the grid. for this i found that glasses and nose was hard to get correctly so i used grid method..it is most helpfully when drawing a small pic bigger.

of course. i do it on the comp draw the grid on the picture you wanna draw using some graphical software. i use corelDRAW X4. then draw the grid on paper. but try not to use grid for every little detail once you get your proportions right no need of the grid. these days i try not to use the grid only for saving time i use.. hehe

No lil details are not the prob, its just I get the proportions always wrong!! So I guess the number of lines have to be same on both paper and reference... so is there an option for the grid on coreldraw?? or do u draw it manually??

you can draw grids easily make the grids in coreldraw. there is a option kinda thing. you can change how many rows you want or columns and draw the same number of rows and columns on the paper. you should try it. you will get it.. if you have more questions note me with all the questions

Ya now its looking much better!! But if u look closely, it is about 2% off from the right side, but its barely noticeable now... So no prob!!!
