A red '63 Vette is my favorite car, but having the Mustang would be like having Miss October rather than Miss July.

Yes, two are better than one.  I'm with you.

Despite being a Chevy guy, there are cars from other brands like Ford, Chrysler and others that are iconic and unforgettable. And the Mustang case and especially the Shelby models along with the Corvette are unique parts of the automotive industry.

I agree.  And nice to see these classic cars still competing.

Classic muscle cars showdown. The battle between Chevrolet Corvette Stingrays C2 and Shelby Mustang Cobra GT350. For the record, I go for these both muscle cars.

I'm agreeing with you.  Too bad I'm not rich; my garage would be huge, fucking huge.

Alright, I'll give you time to think.

Okay, since a choice must be made... I would go with the corvette as they are not as common to see anymore unlike the mustang. But a few years from now I would be back in the same predicament as even the mustangs are becoming scarce as well.

I especially love the split rear window on the vette

I'm a Chevy guy but the Mustang is more interesting for autocross. A live axle and tons oversteer makes it way more challenging. If either has drum brakes they get a hand shake!

No drum brakes.  These cars are pretty serious stuff.

No? I guess they're still cool. LOL! Maybe that Chevy II all the way to the left does. Anyways, of all the photographers I see, you're the only one I'm really jealous of. You take pictures of ALL of my favorite things!

SharkHarrington In reply to Mclain73 [2018-04-19 16:30:40 +0000 UTC]

Chevy II, you don't need to see much sheet metal to identify a classic car, do you?  (And) Thanks for supporting my journey as a photographer.

Mclain73 In reply to SharkHarrington [2018-04-19 17:56:11 +0000 UTC]

Only some cars. I'm not sure if that's the same ChevyII you took a shot of pounding on a corner on an autocross track a while back. But that impresses me more than any Corvette or Mustang. Gotta love an underdog!

That's a toughie. I love both cars for different reasons.

Great shot.

SharkHarrington In reply to TimOrgano [2018-04-19 16:20:53 +0000 UTC]

That's alright.  Some folks are a little too hardcore in their opinions about the topic of Ford VS Chevrolet.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TimOrgano In reply to SharkHarrington [2018-04-19 16:40:13 +0000 UTC]

Indeed. I don't get that. Just because you like 1 brand, doesn't make other brands crap. It gets violent in Australia between the Ford and Holden (Aussie GM) fans

I suppose the rivalry is just as contentious overseas.
