lately this is how i feel whenever i try and draw for DA/FA
idk why, but probably for the last year doing any form of art for those two sites has felt like a workout and a chore for me >.< which is really depressing cuz i can remember the days when i used to draw for pleasure all the time, even though it was sloppy i still enjoyed it. now i seem to draw good art (compared to my pre-DA stuff) and find it a pain in the ass to do
this pic alone took me three days to work on cuz i kept dreading having to work on it >.<maybe this is why i hardly draw any art anymore, it doesn't seem to be fun for me if i have to keep up on a website
still though, i'm not ready to leave DA just yet, but i seem to be on that path if i dont start enjoying myself
oh, and whoever tells me what video game that bolt poster came from gets a giant cookie

You and me both man. Last time I drew Nebula, he looked like a fucking T-rex in drag.
I try to draw sparingly now, and only if I feel I have a good enough idea to put in ink.

It is hard, I used to draw to relax now I play games and browse auction sites to relax.

hmmm....everything you upload doesnt have to be a masterpiece, lots of people upload little scraps and doodles in between hard worked on thingys

I have so many little doodles I think are great but dont upload because other people wont find them as good as i do hehe

I have the same situation with you too.
I don't feel happy in drawing again, in fact i'm getting bored in dA.
I feel, i much useful in the forum with my photo / picture manipulation. -.-

You can just take a break from drawing if you feel like you should. It wouldn't hurt.
I feel the same way...ive noticed ive been drawing less and less of my non-toon anthros....not because there on my mind less but its because its just so much more effort and work it takes to make them.
But you can just make a new drawing whenever you want. No pressure

maybe its just traditional medium, cuz i do like doing MSpaint sketches, but they're so crappy i'll never upload them

Well maybe you should consider experimenting with digital....after all it's far more easier and faster. I like it. Cause it usually takes me 2 to 3 days to do a traditional peice. But I can do a digital one as fast as 30 minutes.
And although it's much harder to draw with a mouse than it is with a pencil, so I just scan a sketch the color it in the computer.
