The youngest of eight children, Veyndra had to deal with not only being the only girl among her siblings but also the only moonskin. Born small, light-skinned and frail, she was automatically denied even a trial for becoming a dragon rider. No dragon bond meant no horns, though it did not necessarily prevent a dragon-like personality, complete with sass, sarcasm and clever sneakiness.
Though Kelrai was not the brother closest in age to Veyndra, he took it upon himself to act as his little sister's protector and, eventually, best friend. He never regretted the time he poured into conversing with the clever young girl, though he did kick himself for training her to use Draelthian arm blades. Dragon rider or not, his little sister was determined to be a warrior unlike any her clan had ever seen.

Heh. What can I say? The clothing styles of the Draelths tend to be eccentric, and Veyndra was never one to back down from eccentricity.

Anyways, it's Veyndra as a teenager. Still tiny, as you can see, but she still has all of her hair, and she isn't covered in scars yet.
