i havent read the last hope but this is what i think happend to mousefur when she died.
She was fight ing or something and got attacked by dark forest warriors . longtail was all like OMG!! Dont kill my true love!!!!! but she died anywhay...

This was so sad... ;^; but then again she was the oldest cat in the book. x'D It was her time.
I loved the way they described her spirit, though. Bounding across the clearing like a kit.

A dark forest warrior jumped on her, and she was too old to handle the weight and strength.(I think) Longtail saw that her neck was bent in a weird way...
