Howdy ya'll!In order to get myself to draw on a more consistent basis, I've started myself a sketch blog on tumblr!

My goal is to upload at least one sketch a day - from an actual sketchbook. If that gets too overwhelming, I'll do it once a week, but no less than that.
So enjoy!

Well, I wanted to do it on a tumblr because I don't want to flood my dA account with silly little sketchings. I prefer to post more developed works/sketches/ideas here. The tumblr account will be more about experimentation and getting my art juices flowing more consistently. It holds me accountable too because I need to update it daily. If I do any sketches that I want to upload here though I definitely will! I'm sure I'll come up with things I'll want to polish up.

you could always just save them up into a weekly (or monthly/fortnightly/whatever) "Sketch-dump" like a lotta artists on here do! ... I love looking at those... so many pretty sketches! ^_^

I love that idea. cosidered trying it myself but I'm too lazy. Plus I don't get around to sketch as much as I want to.

Yeah, that's been my problem too. But I can't be lazy anymore because this is what I want my life to be - art. I haven't pursued it in the past few years for personal reasons but I want to now. So I need to buckle down and get more serious about sketching and really getting my art out there. I'm carrying my sketchbook everywhere now so when I get a free moment I can scribble to my heart's content!

Well I actually got this idea from a friend. I updated my description so you can find him because he's awesome lol. It feels good to be drawing again and making art a priority. I've missed it!

There are also those sketch-a-day groups you can join, and the 100 themes for ideas.
I joined a speed-painting group and did a couple, then school happened and I haven't done anything since, but I love looking at everyone else's things.

I think I started the 100 themes once upon a time...maybe I'll have to pick it up again! For some reason joining groups never really worked for me. But I'm hoping this will. Even if no one follows it, its building a portfolio of sorts and I enjoy doing it!
