Description The filters would not cooperate with me, so sorry that the background looks horrible. Admire the graffiti, if you wish.

Enough self-criticism! On to the backstory!

~*~

Ronin was left at an orphanage by her mother not long after she was born. Growing up, she had a reputation for being adopted, only for the parents to return her before the month was over.
This was because Ronin, unlike other children, had super-human powers... which were difficult to control and led to a bit of property damage most of the time.
By the time she was 11, Ronin managed to keep her powers under control/hidden, in hopes of getting a real family. Unfortunately, she was never adopted, and was soon put into foster care the following year.
She ended up in a foster family and had to deal with a toxic sister, Kira, who one day pushed her to the point where Ronin revealed she not only had powers... but wasn't "entirely" human.

Ronin ended up running away, not wanting to go back into the system, and lived on the streets. She avoided police, knowing they would just take her back, and even developed the ability to change her hair from black to blonde to conceal her identity.
When she learned that the city's own certified super hero, Kamoshidaman, is nothing more than a total egomaniac, Ronin gave up on ever finding someone to look up to, and became a rebel.
Eventually, her rebelliousness turned to crime, and she soon faced Kamoshidaman himself (who at this point is making amends for his tyranny), and after a long fight... the superhero realizes he is her estranged father.
Ronin... does not take the news well.

Trivia:
-Ronin's graffiti slur is based off a sidequest in PQ2
-Vincent Brooks also has a cameo as a bachelor who lets Ronin crash at his place sometimes
-Ronin took the surname "Nobuo" from a fictional character she saw on TV.
