This image is based on our co-dependent relationship with social media and the fear of not knowing, which leads us to our addiction to it. As someone who partially grew up in a region afflicted with conflict I would oftentimes see young children using cellphones (mostly their own, not borrowed from their parents) as a means of security and communication. It was only 2002, when children still wore keys around their necks or kept a written list of phone numbers. Fast forward to 2023 and more Israelis are using technology than ever and I wonder if it's a coincidence that the growth with this technology came with the rise of renewed instability or is the "high" tech industry profiting from the public's fear and the need to continue using it.

My advice is to delete social media from your portable devices and only use it whenever your home (unless your traveling, need it for business or activism). Treat it as if your reading the paper or watching TV. Just something to consider.
