Part of my Lost Leaves fabric book project (completed May 2011). The book is made of a number of fabric pages, illustrated using a variety of techniques. Throughout the book, and round the covers, creep strands of wired ivy, representing the way fiction encroaches on reality and vice versa...

'Of Fortitude' is a double page spread, photo transferred (the photos are my own) on to linen, machine embroidered text and tree, hand stitched characters and stream. It portrays a scene from Violet Needham's The Black Riders.
