Mockingbird's here! He's a shared OC between myself and Drawmicon ! His hero costume/bio in general might undergo some slight alterations.

Appearance:

Hiroyuki is a relatively normal looking person, minus his pointy, almost bat like ears. He doesn't really put too much effort into his appearance and he often breaks the dress code (blazer unbuttoned, shirt un-tucked etc...). His father is Japanese while his mother is from Los Angeles. He's fluent in both languages. The blue streak in his hair is dyed, and he spends a lot of time outside so his skin is pretty tan.

Personality:

Hiroyuki has a very laid back attitude and is an expert prankster due to his quirk. He doesn't really take things very seriously and is usually the first to make light of a bad situation, it's rare to see him discouraged or serious, and even rarer to see him angry. This can either uplift or annoy the hell out of the people he's around. He tends to bottle things like anger and sadness up, he wants people to worry about themselves and not him. He's extremely supportive of his friends and is kind of a big brother figure, he gives them nicknames and teases them but it's all in good fun.

Relationships:

Hiroyuki is good friends with Haruo, Tsubaki, and Ava (Ref sheets for them soon!!). Hiroyuki is the most help when it comes to teaching Japanese to Ava since he's fluent in it as well as English. That doesn't mean he doesn't mess with her and teach her weird stuff. Haruo is basically his BFF, they bonded over pranks and the fact that they both want to be come pro-heroes, despite their quirks not really fitting that mold. He's also on pretty good terms with Present Mic, as their quirks are similar. He occasionally gets personal training and tips from him.

Abilities:

With his quirk, Hiroyuki's able to mimic any sound he hears. Including human voices! If he hears someone's voice for long enough he can even mimic words and phrases he hasn't heard the person say (he impersonates friends and teachers on a constant basis, some people don't even know what his normal voice sounds like because he uses his quirk so much). He's also able to alter the volume and pitch of the sounds he hears like he would with his normal voice.

Due to his enhanced hearing, he can mimic sounds that the normal human can't hear, this includes high pitched frequencies like dog whistles. Having a wider range of hearing can be a bit of a headache sometimes. Another drawback to his quirk is the memory loss. Sounds take priority over some of his short-term memory, and storing too many too fast results in memory loss. He has permanent short-term memory loss as well, but it's pretty mild. To combat this, he has a database of different sounds that he can access via the visor on his hero costume.

The speakers on Hiroyuki's costume can be deployed and stuck in different spots. They're wireless and connected to the microphone on his costume. He can then create diversions and such. The microphone can also be used to amplify sounds.

As a side note, Present Mic's voice is his favorite thing to mimic as it's good for combat. He also has a huge arsenal of memes... too much of his memory is stored with memes.

Backstory:

Hiroyuki had always wanted to be a hero, despite not really having a quirk suited for the job, at least that's what people told him. Nevertheless he was determined, and getting into U.A was probably the only thing in his life that he was ever truly serious about.

The entrance exam was extraordinarily stressful to say the least. When he heard that they'd be fighting robots he was extremely concerned. He had learned how to do some basic hand to hand combat but fighting robots? Out of the question. Although, he got an unexpected advantage.

Due to Present Mic being the to make the announcements of what they'd be doing, and doing a rather poor job of keeping his quirk in check, Hiroyuki got an idea. He mimicked the voice hero's quirk perfectly and managed to take out several robots, as well as score some rescue points with his soon to be friend, Haruo. Hiroyuki's throat hurt like hell afterwards, and he knew what he did was a bit of a cheap tactic, but he got into the school nonetheless. Present Mic greeted him a couple days later and joked around about the ordeal with Hiroyuki. After learning about his quirk, Mic got interested and decided to help train him occasionally. Hiroyuki was overjoyed to say the least.

So yeah, that's Hiroyuki! He wasn't originally going to be that involved with Mic, but since they're quirks both have to do with their voices, and Hiro probably wouldn't have been able to get into U.A without figuring out how to use his quirk as a weapon, I thought it would be fun if they interacted. He's basically what Shinsou is to Aizawa.
