As a member of the anti-social Toong species from the planet Toong’L that had disproportionately large heads for their bodies and whose homeworld Toong’L that had been devastated by a collision with a poisonous comet shortly before 32 BBY, and forced the surviving Toong to relocate to the neighboring planet of Tund. When the Galactic Republic approached them as they had been barely beginning their first steps toward exploring their home system, the Toong became fearful of the other sentient life, more advanced technologies then their own, which had send their homeworld into utter chaos, still they had been peace-loving and outgoing, but when the Republic returned weeks later the First Contact shock had lead to crisis, instability and massive warfare on their homeworld, nearly annihilating their whole species right then, until the Jedi intervened. For that many Toong were glad for the Jedi, but not so much for the Republic, who had not enough supported their resettling to Tund, when their homeworld Toong’L was hit by a poisonous comet many Toong felt. Because of this some of them like Rakot were clearly fed up with the Galactic Republic and partly even the Jedi Order as well, blaming them for to little support and way to late as well. Some of the Toong therefor joined the Separatist Alliance during the Separatist Crisis, or during the Clone Wars. Among them was Rakot, a former Toong trucker who joined the Separatist forces as an organic trooper and driver, soon rising to transport and command a small platoon of Battle Droids he would drive and lead into battle. A small group at first, but Rakot proved that he understood logistics and transportation, as well as basic tactics and strategies, so he soon was given the opportunity to command a small group of mobile transport vehicles with battle droids, a force quickly upgraded by Separatist tanks as well. With this small but capable Separatist force, Commander Rakot could withstand some Republic and later Imperial assaults, raids and attacks, but eh would be much more famous for securing Separatist supply lines and reinforcing isolated bases with his forces.
During the course of the Clone Wars it was his doing that allowed for the continued fighting of some even completely cut off Separatist forces until their last droid fell, because he supplied them with additional ammunition, weapons, fuel and even mobile energy generators to keep their Battle Droids powered and running, a strategy that Commander Rakot would further perfect throughout the course of the Clone Wars. At the same time he felt more secure in transports and trucks of all kinds, then in truly armed vehicles, even if he later preferred armored transportation for himself, as he greatly disliked sitting in a deadly machine himself that fired upon others, even if those others were Republican Clones and Organic Troopers. Commander Rakot also believed that inside such vehicles he would be less endangered from being shot upon, as he assumed enemy Troopers clearly would favor targeting and shooting at those things that were capable of shooting back first. His famous supply runs and reinforcements soon made him a legendary hero within the Separatist Alliance, especially as he unlike many in the Confederacy of Independent Systems was neither a cyborg, or a force-sensitive, but still aided their allied forces more in battles then some commanders who were, but underestimated the Republic enemy, or cared to little about their battle droids and organic forces to reinforce and resupply them, let alone break them out of encirclement or retreat them instead of simply throwing them at the enemy in waves like some Separatist Commanders were doing. Because of his skills as a former truck driver and coordinator for freight and later droids alike, as well as his internal care for his cargo and overall battle droids actually made him quit a efficient and dangerous Separatist Commander, even with only few forces under his command, as he used them with care and skillful, unlike most Separatist Commanders, which not only allowed for his forces to fight better, but also confused the enemy Clones who either assumed they faced more enemies then they truly were, or were outright overwhelmed, because his tactic and strategy was so majorly different compared to most other Separatist Commanders. Something that helped him archive a few victories in battles he was involved in.
