Metrolink F59PH reving up its prime mover, about to pull out of Los Angeles Union Station.Shot this while touring the area, with Neil (~acela ) being our guide. While the visit to Union Station didn't yield too many train shots, the station itself more than made up for that in terms of architecture and interior design.

I commuted through Union Station from 1995 to 1997 on my way from Irvine to Burbank.

It was a very long commute - three hours each way. Drive from Laguna Beach to Irvine. Take the train to Union Station. Take another train from Union Station to Burbank. Drive a second car from Burbank to Northridge - where I worked as an engineer at JBL Professional, the loudspeaker manufacturer. The good news was that I wasn't alone. I made a lot of interesting friends.

The Metrolink scheme is actually almost all white.
