Hello!

This time I believe I should take a little time to explain things.

This little project here is a real labour of love for me. I drew the original lineart for this about five months ago, but took my time to add this to my digital repertoire. I drew a seperate railing and then scaned both before I added them together in Photoshop.

I started to add the various colours of just her skin and the railing before I took some time off (about two weeks - I started this just before I drew those final versions of the characters). It was yesterday that I just took the time to finish her, and spent some time getting the entire thing looking just right - at least right in my eyes. ^_~

The picture was finished around 3 o'clock this morning, having spent about six hours on smoothing out cell-shaded lines and adding the soft background. The background took most of the time, since I took a photo and tried to make it look good as a BG before I decided to just use the airbrush to make this one. To tell you all the truth, I didn't even know of this effect until I tried a light source and it just clicked so well that I was literally awestruck - not by me, but by the effect.

Anyway, Akisa Morinaga is at a fictional park I decided to create. Since the city they live in is now a fictional Japanese one, I can create the place as I see fit, so this is all fictional.
