I read the books out so far a couple months back and I finally got to draw fanart for it! They’re more graphic than warriors so if you wanted to read it I’d be cautious of that, but the writing itself is definitely better lol.I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve shaded 2 lightsources ?? Neat.

Fessran is arguably one of the best characters, imo. She had so much growth without being untrue to her character and it was just all so good

I will always love these books more than Warriors(which is trash, sorry people, it's just so full of mistakes and bad morals and. . . squick material), and they really are a great cat book, one that I think feline lovers should read instead of some of the more mainstreamed ones out there.

I totally agree. I appreciate Warriors since it has a few good ideas, if poorly executed, and since I’ve been reading it for years but it was so nice to read a cat series whose characters have consistent personalities lol

Oh jeez, with over sixty-six books, everyone related, and errors from book one onward, Warriors just cannot be seen as anything short of had a good idea, went downhill fast. There's some good scenes, but most aren't as great as people think they are.
Praise to Ratha's for personalities that are good!

yeah, I've definitely felt that some scenes have more fanon sentiment surrounding them than what the book actually gives you lol. it's at least led to the redux series on tumblr, which I've felt has taken the world building to much better levels. I've kept up with the main series for so long, skipping super editions here and there, but at this point I only read so I can get the context for the good fanart I see haha. I hope to find more books like Ratha's Creature sometime! The only ones that have come close imo is maybe Firebringer, and though it has a totally different vibe Dogsbody was a pretty good animal book too.

The one wit Newt was cool, just it diverted a bit too much attention from the others.
Oh you read also Tomorrow's Sphinx? It's a single book Clare Bell wrote (with cheetahs and some sci-fi element). It has some close similarities with the saga of the named.
