"Perfect Cell" CommissionI was VERY happy to get this commission, as Cell is probably my favorite DBZ character, so I had no trouble figuring out how to go about this one!
I was going to go all out and add all these cyborg-like flourishes all over him, like mechanical eyes/jaw piece, circuits running through his skin etc.... but I decided to keep it more simple and true to his actual look in the anime and stick with a more human face. But at the same time, he ain't really human, so I had to be careful with adding too much detail and flaws on his face, and think about different textures and materials that piece him together.

I absolutely love this Cell piece, and I have enjoyed the fact that all 3 artworks are all by the same voice actor (if we are going by the FMA Scar and not Brotherhood). Wonderful work! π

Thats the moment that vegeta lets cell get android 18 and then becomes perfect cell and cell laughs at vegeta saying i thought you where super vegeta an then perfect cell kicks vegeta so hard he went flying????????????????trough the mountains ^_^

Sorry but I'm not in agreement with this DD : I wonder why they choose this picture when in the author's gallery there are DOZENS of more recent amazing works!
It does not do justice to the author! Just give a look to his last portraits: they takes your breath away!

A Daily Deviation may feature only one deviation of the talented artist, but it still brings the gallery and the artist in question towards the attention of the masses.
In all honesty, I wish everyone would just take the time to browse her gallery and favorite/watch her works that they in turn want to collect because her overall skill is amazing and unique - instead of leaving their personal complaints on the DD which is just a portion of what she can do.
The bottom line is the artist is being featured overall, so be on your way to digging deeper in her gallery.

It's sad to see how a simple opinion is immediately pointed out as "personal complaint" just because it's not 100% in line with a choice. So much for the freedom of thought.
I hardly ever criticize and, the few times, I try to do it without hurting anyone's feelings and not gratuitously.Β
In this case I simply think that the choice could have be done better, that's all.Β
I follow this artist in a long time and I dug in her gallery many times before today, always giving well deserved positive feedback. So, don't worry. And have fun too.

Freedom of thought is always a plus when you want to express your thoughts on someone's creation or a topic on deviantART - it's not like I'm hindering you of your opinion, but the way you shun this artwork is what I feel is unnecessary. That can ignite drama, similar to what we're posting on the Daily Deviation itself right now.
I would hope your intention isn't to spread negativity over this, but I just decided to post my own opinion in response to yours so newcomers who would want their own disagreement on this matter with "Perfect Cell" being a Daily Deviation would do so with discretion for the artist.

ok, i understand what you mean. Anyway, if this can make things clearer: my intention is absolutely not to give a negative comment about the artwork. The only thing I want to spread is the improvement of the artist during these years, from the creation of this specific deviation to now. Probably i could have expressed it better. Sorry
