Mermay day 26: carnivalI thought of drawing a mermaid with that mask. That kind of mask is called bauta in italian. They were typically meant for males but Carnivals were funny like that and no one respected social conventions.
Males often wore moretta masks (meant for females) and women liked to wore bauta masks to fool people!
I am a traditional carnival mask freak!
I used:
Fabriano watercolour paper Sakura Pigma micron liners Schmincke and handmade watercolours Sakura gelly roll pens I hope you like it!
