Oh boy, what a year... It certainly hasn't been fun, ha ha. When quarantine started, I thought it would be great news for me, considering I'm an introvert with bad social anxiety! I'd have a bunch of time to draw, and I wouldn't have to interact with people at school! It was great at first, but as it turns out, I'm a lot worse at time management than I thought I was... That made online school particularly difficult because I had to be responsible for my own assignments and how I spent my time, and I got behind pretty quickly. School's been pretty stressful, and I haven't had much time at all to draw recently. Plus, I don't have many IRL friends, so I've just been kinda lonely, as well. :,3

So as a result, I sadly didn't finish nearly as much art as I did in 2019 (OR the year before that). I only posted 48 deviations last year; in 2019 I posted 70, and the year before I posted 91! I'm steadily declining, lol. But hopefully that will change this year! I don't have any specific resolutions written down, but I know FOR ONE THING, I want to get better at managing my time. That means finishing things as soon as possible rather than procrastinating until seconds before its due... I'm going to have to start scheduling my day or something so I have time to get in everything I want to. And I'll ALSO need to get back into a healthy sleep schedule, because staying up to, like, 3 am and sleeping until noon really isn't working out well for me, ha ha... But nonetheless! I will try my best to make sure this year is better than last year, there's no doubt about it! >:3 Hopefully I'll have a much more productive art year (and writing year, since I'm working on some story concepts) than I did in 2020! I'm sure it's gonna be great!

In terms of improvement, I feel like I haven't improved very much this year, but honestly I'm okay with that. It's been a slow year for art for me with everything that's been going on, and I haven't had nearly as much time to practice. I do think I've gotten better at shading though! I learned that relying so heavily on the "Add" layer filter isn't a smart choice... Looking back, all my old art was too shiny, aaah! Like, shiny is great sometimes, but I definitely needed to tone it down a bit. I've been trying to make my art a little softer recently, so everything looks a bit more blended together, and I think I've been doing an okay job! Anyway, hopefully I'll make even more progress and improvement this year! ^^

ALSO! Happy New Year, everyone! It's finally 2021!!! : D I am hoping SO HARD that this year will be better than last year, ha ha.
