Description Nothing really special here folks! Just dorking about with brushes in photoshop to get a better understanding of the programs equipment. I think of this a training more than anything.

huu...
This is definitely going in my favorites section! I am totally loving the new coloring techniques you're using there, Shims. Such a fast change from what you had shared before. The brilliant hues and well-mixed textures of this new digital format you're using suite this type of style wonderfully. But I hope you don't forget your lovely airbrushing skills as you explore this new media.

Now for the piece its self-
I really like the work you did on the tree leaves. It looks like point perspective (is that right? like a Vangouh). The entire upper half of the piece has a slight surreal perspective to it (the way the leaves are melded together into on mass as the move in an unmoving wind and the way the clouds in the sky seem to move but do not move).

As for the little blue pincushion-
Wonderful work on the proportioning and laying out of the perspectives. I believe you've captured the SA1 style nicely as well. Overall all the entire scene makes me wonder where he's headed and what's he doing in (almost like a moment captured in time).

Aww that has really made my day with what you have just said about the piece Jen. I'm touched, really am.

Well this piece really was just messing around to figure out more about the brushes available in Photoshop. Along with that i just wanted to also learn more about perspective as you mentioned with a mixture of surreal for fun.

It's nice to know that the proportions and perspective of the foreground are a plus in your eyes for i felt i haven't designed it perfectly.

Thanks for the lovely words and support as always hun.
