DescriptionDefinitely stole the title from a song.So I'm still doing these head-shot thingies! This one isn't very interesting, but I wanted a similar pose to this picture of mine so that I could use it as a journal skin over at my Xchange.
But also I really wanted to draw Shin! It's been so long since I've drawn him, and like REALLY drawn him, that this was really nice. I had to jump through a hoop to get the gradient map to work on him but I think I'm becoming more flexible with this type of coloring. It is really quite nice and relaxing.
I'll also take this time to tell you guys about the ShinXChange . It's an old exchange I ran four or five years ago that I'm in the process of reviving! So if you like an exchange, drop by. If you don't know what an exchange is, it's like secret santa but with art; every month
I haven't started the actual exchanges up again yet, but I'm working on it right now and applications to join are open. The exchange, however, is quality controlled. i remember reading his reference about his skin and i simply LOVE how you textured the skin on his neck and not to mention the realism of this - specially all the feathers - you gave them a thick start which is something i don't think everyone does when doing feathered head dragons , in my opinion the persistence of the feathers is needed during flight Β and his expression is simply golden like you can definitely notice he's enjoying this and fur oh my gosh where do i start (i'm going to keep saying " and " each time i fall in love with details of this e w e) sigh / overall this is just one of my favorite works on deviantART !

Well the song title matches the dragon that it's for; he has such a radiance to him that makes him hum with all things joyous and fantastical. I have always been an admirer of your work (and have finally taken the time to go through and start to comment on them). You deserve high praise for you craftmanship.
