With the help of the awesome obiwankimobi, my Halloween costume this year! River Tam's bank heist outfit from the first few scenes in Serenity, the Firefly movie. I was really happy with how it turned out (plus any costume I can be barefoot in is extra awesome)I have a bare few other photos of the costume if you're curious, go here .

Barefoot is the only way to go. In Wisconsin, I continue in my barefoot fashion for as long as possible. The shoes typically come out around mid-October.

Honestly if you're in a River costume and not barefoot you better have enormous kickass boots on. But yeah, in the "Objects in Space" episode commentary Joss referred to River's feet as the eleventh Firefly character (the ship is ten) so bare is likely best.
