By the manly tits of Jove, I can't stand selective color. Can't. Stand. It.
The reasons are varied and many, but mostly its because people use it as a crutch to jazz up some terrible poorly exposed photo that would be completely uninteresting otherwise.
That being said, you've done a good job of using it artistically in this photo. You've tied both of the main subjects together and you aren't using the technique to cover a bad photo.
Really, I think this works well without the selective color, just nice, simple black and white. You've already done a lot of work on the composite, the color seems unnecessary.

I -love- the one splash of color. The only thing I can offer you as an observer (no advanced critique here, sorry!) is the framing seems slightly off--like there should be a tad more space at the top of the photo.

and yeah, I also really regret that framing bit, because I combine 2 photos to make this, and I had to cut some spaces on len's original photo so I can match the background with rin's original photo
